1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and name (optional) to create and manage your account.
b. User Content
You may provide audio, video, or text content for transcription. This includes video links from platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or direct uploads. We process this content solely to provide the transcription service.
c. Usage Data
We automatically collect non-personally identifying information such as browser type, referring site, and timestamps to improve our service.
d. Payment Information
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
e. Google User Data (OAuth)
When you choose to sign in with Google, we request and access the following information from your Google account:
- Email address – to create and identify your account, and to communicate with you about the service.
- Profile information (name, avatar) – to personalize your experience within the app.
We request only the minimum data necessary to provide and improve our service. We do not:
- Use your Google user data for any advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.
- Sell, rent, or share your Google user data with any third party except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., storing your email securely to maintain your account).
- Transfer your Google user data to any third party for their own use.
Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s own Privacy Policy.
You can revoke our access to your Google account data at any time by visiting your Google Account’s “Third-party apps with account access” page.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our transcription services.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our service.
3. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and generated transcripts only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.
- Transcripts: You can delete any generated transcript at any time directly from your dashboard.
- Account deletion: If you wish to delete your entire account, please contact us at support@transcript365.com. Upon account deletion, all associated data (including transcripts and stored content) will be permanently removed from our systems, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or compliance reasons.
4. How We Handle Video Links and Transcripts
When you submit a video link (e.g., from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) or upload a file, we process it to generate a transcript. This transcript is stored in your history so you can view it at any time.
We do not use any of your submitted content (including video links, audio files, or generated transcripts) to train public AI models or any machine learning systems unrelated to providing you the service.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only:
- With service providers (e.g., hosting, payment processors) under strict confidentiality.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to enhance user experience and analyze site traffic. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International Users
If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
